iOS 5.0.1 does not receive push notifications
  • xkamronxxkamronx November 2011

    Hi all,

I've been using Notifo for a few months now and man, I love it.

Recently, however, I stopped receiving push notifications to my iPhone which is running iOS 5.0.1, I've attempted multiple fixes such as deleting and reinstalling, but to no avail.

If anyone has a fix or if Notifo is working on this, please let me know.

Same here rendering this app absolutely useless!

I have started using it on iOS 5.0.1 so its about to be deleted as its fails at the basic functionality.

    Rubbish.

    +1,

Same thing is happening on my iPhone 4S, 5.0.1.

Only stopped notifications in the last day or 2, if i open the app, all the notifications load up to what is current.

I didn't notice until now, but same thing is happening to me. I haven't changed anything they just stopped working. When I open the app they are there, but no push notifications.

The creator of Notifo has said moths ago that the app is no longer in development, hence the likely reason for it not working with 5.0.1. Those coming on here calling it 'rubbish' etc are selfish idiots - bet none of you donated anything to keep it going.

Notifications also stopped working for me :-(

I'm not seeing any mentioning on the site about the app no longer being in development. Can you provide a link?

Notifications stopped for me too. iPhone 4S, 5.0.0. Worked up until about Nov. 24th.

Funny enough, I installed Boxcar and my Notifio notifications started working again this afternoon.

Oh, and BTW - here's the announcement about the end of the site:

I just saw this forum thread. I just signed up for Notifo. It would be nice if they put something on their home page that they stopped development and it might go away at any time.

About the notifications bug, on jailbroken iOS 5.0.1, I had the same problem, until I finally got it to work. All you need is the sim card from the carrier your phone is lock to.
Insert this sim on your iPhone and do over the whole jailbreak process from the bigining with this sim card inserted. Once the whole jailbreak process is done then swich sim cards and you should be good to go.

Howdy, Stranger!
