Push notifications not appearing on iPhone
  • mattivapamattivapa September 2010

There seems to be a problem with the Push notifications, on my phone at least (iPhone 3GS, iOS 4.1). Any notification I send to myself appears as a Push notification only randomly. I have tried using the service dashboard and command line. The notifications appear normally in the Notifo app and Push notifications are enabled on the phone. Is this a bug or am I doing it wrong?

Also, the Notification Settings are set to Normal. I also tried using Important but to no avail.

You may be experiencing a bug in the current version (we are working on a fix). In the meantime, can you try logging out of the app and logging back in with the same account and testing it? This seems to fix it for most of the people with similar issues.

Thank you for your quick reply. Unfortunately the logging out and in had no effect. I'll keep trying though. Hope you get the fix working soon!

Hmm, a few people have had similar issues if they are behind a firewall and Apple's push notification port is being blocked. The port is 5223 - more info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3576

    Could that be it?

I just started using notifo a couple of days ago and today I stopped receiving push notifications. I tried rebooting phone, logging out and in. I even turned off quiet hours. I realize its been quite a while since this was originally posted so I'm assuming whatever bug you mentioned has been squashed. Any ideas on how to get the push notifications work again?

I'm having the same problem as 'yourfavorite' I've been using Notifo for a while now no problems whatsoever...today it just suddenly stopped working. I get the notifications in the app but I am not getting the push notification. I've tried rebooting my phone, reinstalling notifo, I've even re-set everything up with notifo and my google voice account and it's still not working. I've checked 'notifications' in my iPhone's settings and it's turned on properly so I am at my wits end. I've had to start using Boxcar but I really prefer Notifo...please help!!!!

Same here. Did all the same things as the others, logged off, logged in, same on webpage, killed quiet hours, resetted event settings. Nothing helped.
All "notifos" are shown on a desktop (Mac and PC) but not on my iPhone (no JB).
Other push services on this device are working perfectly.

Without push notifications notifiy makes no sense for me.

More than 4 days with no notifo pushes on my iPhone and no answer on this issue. So Notifo seems to be a candidate for a bye-bye.

And no, there is no firewall blocking. Pushes from other services are working. As for most users this pushes go over 3G not over WLAN, because WLAN is deactivated on iPhone while sleeping.

Has anyone found a solution to this? I am having the same issue, 3GS IOS 3.1.3. Do notifo need minimum ios 4 or greater? Check all my setting and if I open the app I can see Google SMS notifications but no push notifications.

Same here. No Notifo push notifications going through. Others work fine. iPhone 2G 3.1.3.

Notifo seriously needs to get on it and fix this shit! Seriously, it's bullshit that this hasn't been addressed.
